Medical Disclaimer

Important information about the health and fertility features in BedPost, including the scope of the AI coach and where it stops.

Last updated: April 13, 2026

BedPost is not a medical device, and nothing in the app constitutes medical advice. Fertility tracking, cycle predictions, Connection Score calculations, and AI coaching responses are for informational and personal wellness purposes only.

Not a Medical Device

BedPost has not been cleared or approved by the FDA, the CE (EU), or any other medical regulatory authority as a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition, including but not limited to infertility, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, or sexually transmitted infections.

Fertility Tracking Limitations

The fertility window and ovulation predictions in BedPost are statistical estimates based on the cycle data you enter. They are not a reliable method of contraception and should not be used as such.

AI Coach Limitations

The BedPost AI Insight Coach (Bex) is an AI-powered conversational feature. Bex's responses are generated by a large language model and are not reviewed by medical or mental health professionals.

Bex AI — Educational Use Only

Bex is for education, reflection, and personal coaching only. Bex is not a doctor, therapist, pharmacist, or licensed clinician, and nothing Bex says is medical, psychological, legal, or contraceptive advice.

What Bex will not do

If you are in crisis

If you are thinking about harming yourself or someone else, or you are in immediate danger, please reach a human now:

If Bex detects language suggesting you may be in crisis, it will pause coaching and surface these resources automatically. We log only the fact that a crisis prompt was shown — never the message text — so we can keep the safety net working.

How Bex works

Always consult a professional

Bex is a starting point for your own thinking — not a substitute for care. For anything that affects your physical or mental health, contraception, fertility plans, prescribed medication, or relationship safety, please talk to a qualified, licensed professional.

Consult a Professional

For any health concern — physical or mental — please consult a qualified, licensed healthcare provider. Do not delay seeking professional medical advice because of something you read or experienced in BedPost.

If you are in the United States and experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
